Capturing, exploring, sharing the Sheffield Hallam University Executive "future of e-learning" workshop

Welcome to the future of e-learning blog
This blog is to support the University Executive workshop on Monday 5 March 2007 (12.30pm to 2pm), enabling us to share what is going on inside and outside the workshop.
I look forward to seeing how this blog evolves. Some people think blogging is just about personal reflection, but I have found that blogging and podcasting are actually very social contexts. I'm getting a lot of feedback to the podcasting that I'm doing at the moment.
I'll be watching the workshop on Monday via the blog and adding my comments. Building on what Andrew just said, we've found in the LTI that blogging events like this is an excellent form almost synchronous communication - those at distance can be involved with and potentially contribute to the process, creating a much richer experience. Helen
I think it can take a while to warm to the norms of a blog and do the social thing that Andrew mentions. If you're new to blogging it can be a bit intimidating to leap in and join the chat. There can be that feeling that everyone else is ahead of you in the game!
